Decided to catch an early evening then morning walk with Penny, Giovanni, Gypsy and Jacki.
The air was electric this morning. A storm front moving through the area. We thankfully missed the rainfall but noticed periodic lightning flashes in the clouds that helped keep us moving along at a nice pace.
Feels like I'm always tested by the youngest of the dogs Jacki. She started to lag behind and tug backwards when the walk was concluding as if to say, I don't want to go indoors yet.
Watching the news briefly this morning and want to relay a message about a pet food recall mentioned. Follow this link to find out if you and your pets are affected.
As if making sure to have poo bags on board isn't enough to be concerned about I cant help but to observe improperly disposed of food containers and bottles along the way. Now I think-ok so I should also stash a few drawstring trash bags to pick up litter as well. But then what? Do I just bag up the trash and leave it on the side of the road and expect someone to pick it up? I surely don't think it's my responsibility to haul a trash bag down the street while walking the dogs and pushing a stroller. Way to cumbersome; I know from experience. I get irritated by noticing something and not being able to do something about it immediately and equally irritated being stared at by passersby while picking up litter along the street.
