Poop patrol

Like a parks and recreation employee, I was dressed for business this morning. Its stupid cold out, who cares what the temperature really says or how ridiculous wearing multiple layers under a pair of work coveralls may look? Gypsy and Jackie accompanied me on back yard poop patrol before the garbage was collected today. Yes, picking up frozen turds seems funny. Frozen or not they need to be picked up.
Gypsy and Jackie had on matching accessories. We took a evening stroll as well. Pretty sure snow flurries were happening some time this afternoon. They're on a decent schedule in the am and pm for walks. Its up to me however to remember to keep them on it and enjoy the fresh air.

They're ok on kibble. The giblet gravy has kept well in the freezer. When feeding time rolls around its easy to take a couple of the cubes out, place in microwave safe dish with half a cup of tap water to defrost.

Gypsy and Jackie love hopping in the car and going on short trips with me. Not only are they good company, bringing them along saves time. I won't stay longer than a few minutes in a store with them tagging along and waiting patiently in the car. Bringing them along for a ride also reminds me to keep the inside of the car clutter-free.

One way to reduce the odor of their doo is by keeping a covered, lined trash container outdoors with a few scoops of fresh cat litter in the bottom. Baking soda also helps. Keeping their waste contained separately and discreetly until garbage is collected weekly works. Buying biodegradable pick up bags is better for the environment.
Although PetSmart offered free shipping through Sunday for some purchases, I didn't take advantage of it. Thinking stocking stuffer ideas? Grooming items, accessories, treat recipes, training aides for certification, toys, no cost clinic visits and script refills are all available through the Pet insurance program. http://t.co/HSrSfPYc4E.
